Friends from the Canal: A Floating Art Parade

Have you spotted Mookntaka’s three Friends from the Canal around Gowanus? This multi-site public art installation imagines gentle creatures — known as Loofa, Shelby, and Pebbles — emerging from the Gowanus Canal to meet their neighbors.
To celebrate the re-opening of the Carroll St Bridge and cap off a day of cross-canal festivities on June 20, the Friends will make a return to the waters at the head of a floating parade with the Gowanus Dredgers.
