City of Water Day at the Gowanus Dredgers Boathouse
Two neighborhoods. One harbor | RETI Center & the Gowanus Dredgers Celebrate City of Water Day!
1–5PM: Photo exhibit & film screening by Sophie Fenwick. The photos & film feature scenes of the NYC waterfront since the 1990s. Musician Leslie Braver will accompany the film from 2–4PM.
2–3PM: On the waterfront esplanade – a hands-on session on water quality and a presentation on the history of waterfront access in Red Hook & Gowanus, by RETI Center.
3–7PM: Community paddle and cleanup. Open to all ages & skill levels. Life jackets provided. Walk-ups welcome. Signed waivers required. No registration needed.
5-7PM: Music by Herb Lore
