Meeting: Help Grow Public Boating in Sunset Park!

The NYC Water Trail Association and the Gowanus Dredgers are looking to offer another round of community boating events in Sunset Park this summer! We’ll be holding an organizational meeting on Thursday May 8 from 6-7:30 PM. The location is the lobby of Building A, a waterfront warehouse at the end of 41st Street that was recently renovated by the city’s Economic Development Corporation.
Please consider joining us if you’re interested in seeing more community boating in Sunset Park! Whether you’re interested in volunteering or just participating in this summer’s events, this event’s for you.
We’ll be deciding on dates and discussing logistics, partnerships and promotional strategies, etc. — as well as discussing the long-term possibilities for recreational boating and waterfront education in Sunset Park. The EDC plans to offer a substantial amount of ground floor space in Building A for use by community groups and water-dependent nonprofits, so we’ll be discussing that, as well as some of the nearby possibilities for water access.
