Since 1999 the Dredgers have empowered people to care for the Gowanus Canal through advocacy\, conservation\, and education. \nFounded in 1966\, UPROSE is Brooklyn’s oldest Puerto Rican and Latino community-based organization and a nationally recognized leader in climate justice.
