The Boathouse Jam is hosted by the Gowanus Dredgers Canoe Club to activate our shoreline while fostering the continued resurgence of acoustical collaborations in Brooklyn. Local artist Rich Garr leads this exploration through the Gowanus waterfront. He is a longtime area artist focusing on public art and community. This walking tour is a multi-sensory collage featuring art, and responding to the area's renowned history and current events.
"Inner and Outer Transformations: The Climate Crisis" is an immersive multimedia exhibition curated through a blend of fine art photography, poetry, live music, and community climate engagement activities on climate adaptation on flooding in NYC.

The public is welcome to attend The Gowanus Dredgers annual meeting at the Gowanus Dredgers Boathouse (165 2nd st.) to discuss activities, ideas and goals for the upcoming season on the Gowanus, Red Hook, Long Island City and Staten Island. Activity Committees will deliver program reports and announce agenda and goals for this year.

Rich Garr leads this comfortable open-air exploration through the Gowanus waterfront. He is a longtime area collage artist focusing on public art and community. These walks respond to both current events and history, and a central component of his interdisciplinary collage art practice.
Meet the EPA scientists keeping an eye on our local air quality and visit their mobile laboratory! Get a behind-the-scenes peek inside the "science lab on a bus" that's helping keep an eye on what's in the air in Gowanus! EPA scientists, educators, and other community members will be on hand to answer questions about the ongoing cleanup of the Gowanus Canal, how the EPA is helping monitor the neighborhood for air quality issues during construction, and what you can do to stay safe and informed.
