Birding by canoe, what could be better? Gowanus is an industrial area teeming with wildlife. Paddling along the canal and the mouth of the Gowanus bay is a great way to experience the vast biodiversity around us.

Socialize with the Dredgers at our BUNKER (2 19th St, off of 3rd Ave) for a casual volunteer orientation (sign-up here), member catch-up and paddle! We’ll gather at 6:30 to start the orientation and aim to be on-water around 7:15.
