Barthold’s sculptures draw from the theatrical and the everyday, transforming […]

Celebrate the 4th of July with a little bit of history and a lot of fun on the water! New York City's Revolutionary War history is an often-overlooked part of our nation's story. Gowanus, Red Hook and surrounding neighborhoods were home to key battles and events in that tale. Join us for a guided paddle that touches on some of that history and enjoy a special holiday trip on the harbor.
Tickets required.
Come witness and participate in Release, a temporary installation and informal movement session developed as part of a two-part workshop held at Coney Island Creek and Gowanus. Join us at the Dredgers Boat House to witness and explore: what gets collected and recorded when we connect to a place and the living things that occupy the place? What gets activated when these recordings are shared in a different space and time? How to move and make movements from these activations?
