DESCRIPTION:Have you spotted Mookntaka’s three Friends from the Canal around Gowanus? This multi-site public art installation imagines gentle creatures — known as Loofa\, Shelby\, and Pebbles — emerging from the Gowanus Canal to meet their neighbors.  \nTo celebrate the re-opening of the Carroll St Bridge and cap off a day of cross-canal festivities on June 20\, the Friends will make a return to the waters at the head of a floating parade with the Gowanus Dredgers.  \nJoin us as a volunteer to help build the floats\, paddle them\, or round out the costumed on-water parade!
