Celebrate LGBTQ+ Pride & paddle with us in June as we offer a special voyage of Gowanus Bay and lower Canal. This is our sixth annual Pride Paddle! We persisted right through each year of the pandemic, because celebrating and signaling the importance of inclusion on the waterfront is crucial to our work.
Now in its 17th year, City of Water Day is a region-wide day of free, family-friendly events on or near the water, organized by Waterfront Alliance and New York–New Jersey Harbor & Estuary Program (HEP), to champion a climate-resilient New York and New Jersey harbor. Join the Dredgers at "mussel beach" with the Gowanus Canal Conservancy or take a curated musical self-guided tour, in collaboration with Unheard-of//Ensemble. Or both!

Local artist Rich Garr leads this exploration through the Gowanus waterfront. He is a longtime area artist focusing on public art and community. This walking tour is a multi-sensory collage featuring art, and responding to the area's renowned history and current events.
